Fans have responded to the goodwill shown by actor Byun Woo Seok.
On January 6 KST, Severance Hospital announced that the fan community DC Inside Byun Woo Seok Gallery donated 10 million KRW(~7,000 USD).
This donation was made in solidarity with Byun Woo Seok’s recent act of generosity, in which he donated 100 million KRW to Severance Hospital for the treatment of pediatric and adolescent patients at the start of the new year. The funds raised by fans will be used to support medical expenses for elderly patients and medically vulnerable groups.
A representative of the DC Inside Byun Woo Seok Gallery stated, “We decided to make this donation to join actor Byun Woo Seok in sharing hope with pediatric patients. We hope that, as he wished, patients and their families can begin the new year with warmth and comfort.”
Lee Sang Gil, Director of External Affairs at Severance Hospital, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We sincerely thank not only actor Byun Woo Seok but also his fan community for this meaningful donation. Based on this goodwill, Severance Hospital will continue to provide patient-centered medical care and support.”
