BLACKPINK’s Rosé is eyeing a major trophy at one of the UK’s most prestigious music award ceremonies.
On January 23, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) announced the nominees for the International Song of the Year category at the 46th BRIT Awards. Rosé earned a nomination for “APT.”, her collaboration with Bruno Mars.
Launched in 1977, the BRIT Awards are among the most authoritative music awards in the UK. Nominees are selected through votes cast by a panel of more than 1,000 industry professionals, including radio and television DJs and hosts, broadcasting executives, record label representatives, and journalists.
With this nomination, Rosé has made history as the first K-pop artist to be nominated for a BRIT Award both as part of a group and as a solo artist. Released in October last year, “APT.” went on to break records across global music charts.
The track also secured Song of the Year, the top honor, at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, marking another first for a K-pop artist.
In addition, Rosé achieved a historic milestone at the Grammy Awards, where she became the first K-pop artist to be nominated in the major categories of Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Meanwhile, the BRIT Awards ceremony will be held on January 28.
