Singer-songwriter Yoon Jong Shin canceled his year-end concerts due to health-related issues affecting his vocal cords.
On December 25, Yoon Jong Shin shared the news through his social media, explaining that he had recently been diagnosed with a cold accompanied by bronchitis and had undergone five days of intensive treatment. “Six days ago, I suddenly developed cold symptoms along with bronchitis and focused on recovery through treatment,” he wrote.
He revealed that he became aware of the seriousness of his condition during the performance the day before. “My vocal cords were in very bad condition. Although I spent about two hours with you, I was unable to deliver a good performance. My condition did not improve by this morning,” he said.
As a result, Yoon Jong Shin made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining scheduled shows. He announced that refunds would be processed for all affected performances, including the one held the previous day, with the organizer providing detailed refund instructions.
Despite the cancellations, Yoon Jong Shin plans to resume performances by February. “I am already looking into venues. Please give me a chance to make it up to you. I promise to return in proper condition,” he assured fans.
Even on the days when concerts were canceled, Yoon Jong Shin plans to visit the venue. Instead of singing, he will host a special session in the format of a live radio-style talk and listening event. “I want to spend time sharing your stories from this year, as well as my own thoughts about 2025 and the life ahead,” he explained.
He added, “Those who purchased tickets for my concert can receive a refund and still come to the venue at the original concert time to join me.”
Meanwhile, Yoon Jong Shin was originally scheduled to hold ‘2025 Yoon Jong Shin Concert: What Happened to Me This Year’ from December 24 to 28 at YES24 Wonderrock Hall in Seodaemun, Seoul.
