Mnet’s flagship hip hop survival series 'SHOW ME THE MONEY 12' has confirmed its return in the new year.
The program will premiere on January 15 at 9:20 p.m., airing simultaneously on Mnet and TVING.
The upcoming season is already drawing attention for its star studded producer lineup. Zico and Crush, GRAY and LOCO, JTONG and Hukky Shibaseki, as well as Lil Moshpit and Jay Park have all been confirmed as producers. Blending strong individuality with mainstream appeal, the lineup has been praised by fans as a perfectly curated combination.
Notably, 'SHOW ME THE MONEY 12' marks the first time in the franchise’s history that Mnet and TVING are jointly producing the series. The show will adopt a two track broadcast format that links a traditional television channel with an OTT platform.
Choi Hyo Jin, CP of the program, explained, “Beyond the format that aired solely on Mnet, a differentiated narrative unique to TVING will also unfold,” adding, “We plan to present a two track universe that moves between the channel and the OTT platform.”
She continued, “Through the world building that unfolds across both platforms, we will deliver an even more intense survival competition. With an unprecedented producer lineup, diverse contestants, and powerful, rich storytelling, we aim to present a season on an entirely new level.”
