Former JYJ member Park Yoochun shared a rare update on his recent life by posting photos from a family meal.
On December 12, Park Yoochun uploaded photos to his Instagram showing him dining with his family. He was seated beside his mother and younger brother, actor Park Yoo Hwan, smiling warmly at the camera. Many noted his resemblance to his mother, with Park Yoochun adding a heart emoji to the post.
Park Yoochun debuted in 2003 as a member of TVXQ. In 2009, he filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment seeking confirmation that his exclusive contract was invalid, ultimately leaving the group. From the following year, he promoted with Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu as part of the group JYJ.
In 2016, Park Yoochun became embroiled in a sexual misconduct controversy, and in 2019, he was indicted on charges of methamphetamine use. He received a sentence of 10 months in prison, suspended for two years. Although he announced his retirement from the entertainment industry, he reversed the decision a year later and has since focused mainly on overseas activities.
In December 2023, Park Yoochun was listed as a high-value habitual tax delinquent. In February last year, he held a 20th anniversary dinner show titled ‘Re.birth’ in Tokyo, Japan. More recently, he appeared in the Tokyo MX drama ‘A Greedy Woman with a Past.’
