Broadcaster Park Na Rae has reportedly undergone her first police questioning in connection with the criminal complaint she filed against her former managers, amid ongoing controversies including allegations of workplace abuse and illegal medical procedures.
According to reports on December 23 KST, Park appeared at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on December 19. The questioning was conducted as a complainant investigation related to her complaint accusing her former managers of attempted extortion. The session was held behind closed doors and reportedly lasted approximately six hours.
During the investigation, Park is said to have provided a detailed statement regarding the circumstances surrounding the case. One of the former managers accused of attempted extortion appeared for police questioning on December 20. Park initially filed the complaint against her former managers on December 5 at the Yongsan Police Station.
In addition, on December 20, Park submitted another criminal complaint against the same individuals, this time on charges of embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.
Meanwhile, police investigations related to Park’s own alleged offenses—including aggravated injury, defamation, and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act—which are being handled by the Gangnam Police Station, have not yet proceeded. The complainant investigation concerning a separate case in which former Korean Medical Association president Lim Hyun Taek filed charges against Park and the individual known as “Injection Aunt” A has also not yet taken place.
