Singer and actress Krystal (31, Jung Soo Jung) revealed the story behind a luxury bag incident that once made her sister Jessica furious.
On December 1st KST, Harper’s Bazaar Korea uploaded a video to its official YouTube channel titled “When Did Krystal Start Dressing Well? Krystal’s Fashion Timeline as She Makes Her First Solo Debut in 16 Years.”
In the video, Krystal looked back on her styling from childhood to her early debut years and up to the present.
Looking at a child modeling profile photo taken when she was about five or six, she said, “When I look at my childhood photos, I realize my mom dressed me so beautifully. I still wear some of her clothes from 20 to 30 years ago. My sister and I often wore matching outfits. I also wore a lot of her hand-me-downs.”
Speaking about a behind-the-scenes still from the f(x) debut song “LA chA TA” music video, she recalled, “I was 14. I was so young. Our team always tried new things, so we constantly wore styles that were new to us.”
Reacting to her photo from the 2013 drama ‘The Heirs’ production presentation, Krystal shared, “I was 20 in Korean age when I played the character Bona. She was a rich daughter who always had to wear luxury brands, so I took a lot of reference from the American drama Gossip Girl.”
She also revealed a filming anecdote, saying, “I borrowed a luxury bag from my sister for the shoot, but of all scenes, it ended up being the one where someone throws the bag on the floor. My sister was really mad when she saw that scene,” she said with a laugh.
Krystal recently released her first solo single Solitary in 16 years since debut. She is also set to appear in the upcoming tvN weekend drama ‘How to Become a Building Owner in Korea’, and her new film, the sequel to ‘Wind’, titled ‘Jjangu’, is scheduled for release next year.
