Singer and actress IU drew attention by sharing a candid awards-ceremony vlog.
On December 23rd KST, a video titled “Whispering vlog on the plane” was uploaded to IU’s official YouTube channel. In the video, IU is seen boarding a flight to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to attend AAA 2025.
Speaking in a hushed voice, IU explained, “It’s not like I have to secretly film, but there are senior artists and people I know sitting in front and behind me, so I keep talking quietly.”
Even while enjoying her in-flight meal, she continued whispering, joking, “It’s good. This will probably be my last meal today, and since I’m an adult, I’ll eat the broccoli.” Her playful tone added a lighthearted touch.
Whenever she made eye contact with colleagues passing by, IU appeared slightly embarrassed and said, “My voice keeps getting louder as I talk, so I’ll lower it again.” She then added, “Park Bo Gum is sitting right next to me, and Moon So Ri sunbae is next to him. This is an AAA charter flight, so everyone around me is a colleague. I think it’d be a bit embarrassing if they caught me filming a vlog.”
After arriving at the hotel, IU appeared in front of the camera bare-faced and shared, “I’ve already arrived, slept, and it’s morning now. I slept a bit restlessly, but considering it’s overseas, I think I slept pretty well.” She also revealed her personal sleep tip, saying, “Just in case, I brought an electric heating pad. If I just lie down with my back on it, I fall asleep easily.”
After finishing breakfast, IU expressed a cute concern, saying, “What if the dress doesn’t fit? That kind of disaster won’t happen… right?”
Fortunately, despite eating well, IU flawlessly pulled off a top-style dress with her signature elegant figure. In the waiting room, she reunited with Park Bo Gum, her co-star from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines', and the two showed off their enduring chemistry through a playful skit, drawing smiles from viewers.
