Comedian Shin Bong Sun has drawn attention after sharing a cryptic message on social media amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Lee Yi Kyung’s departure from the MBC variety show 'Hangout with Yoo.'
On November 24, Shin posted an Instagram Story that read, “A good quote for the morning,” followed by the message: “Don’t force yourself to fit into the life of someone who doesn’t respect you.” The post has sparked speculation online, given recent developments involving cast changes in the program.
Lee Yi Kyung recently stepped down from 'Hangout with Yoo' following controversy over his personal life. The show’s production team stated that his exit was due to scheduling conflicts. Lee Yi Kyung, however, claimed that he faced pressure from the program. The 'Hangout with Yoo' staff later released a clarification addressing his allegations.
As the dispute continues, former cast members who previously left the program such as Jung Jun Ha, Shin Bong Sun, Park Jin Joo, and (Mijoo) Lee Mi Joo have returned to the spotlight.
Shin Bong Sun, who left the show earlier, had spoken about her experience on her YouTube channel Misunimpossible. She said, “There were definitely parts that made me uncomfortable. In the past, even if I felt upset, I could not show it. Now, I am at an age where I can say, ‘That hurt my feelings,’ even if I understand the situation. I think both the production team and I felt uncomfortable. I do not dislike them, and I understand them, but my feelings matter too.”
Jung Jun Ha also appeared on her YouTube channel. He shared that after receiving the notice of his departure, he drank more than he ever had in his life and described his reaction as wailing rather than crying. He added, “We filmed every Thursday, and I could not bear being at home that day.”
The situation continues to attract public interest as viewers watch for further developments involving the show and its former members.
