A collaboration music video between SEVENTEEN and the global character franchise 'The Smurfs' has been released.
Peyo Company, which owns the rights to 'The Smurfs', unveiled the special music video for "God of Music" featuring SEVENTEEN and the Smurfs on November 25th at 11 PM KST. Set against the backdrop of Budapest, Hungary, the music video features a “SEVENTEEN Festival,” where Papa Smurf, Smurfette, and Clumsy Smurf appear, enhancing the song’s message of musical connection. A highlight of the video shows the three Smurfs dancing the key choreography alongside SEVENTEEN, maximizing the fun of the collaboration.
At the end of the video, 13 Smurf characters inspired by SEVENTEEN’s members make an appearance. After arriving in the Smurf village through a portal, they revive disappearing sounds of music and continue the festival, while incorporating member-specific symbols—such as S.Coups’ cherry and Dino’s dinosaur motif—to add visual delight for fans.
The collaboration was planned due to the shared release date of "God of Music" and The Smurfs’ anniversary—October 23rd—as well as the shared value of coexistence between the two franchises.
Collaborative merchandise is also scheduled for release in 2026. Veronique Culliford, head of Peyo Company, stated that the project “is rooted in joy and friendship,” adding that “my father, Peyo, would have been proud of this collaboration with SEVENTEEN.”
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will kick off their four-dome Japan tour 'NEW_' starting on November 27th KST.
