Lee Hyori continues her philanthropic efforts in support of animal welfare.
She reportedly donated all proceeds from the sale of cat-themed T-shirts she personally designed to aid abandoned animals.
On November 5, Lee Hyori shared on her social media a post from a friend’s account supporting animal welfare. The post stated, “Proceeds from the cat T-shirt merchandise, worth 12 million KRW (8,324 USD), have been used to provide 4.6 tons of cat food, distributed to cat moms, cat dads, and shelters across Jeju Island. Thank you!”
Last month, on October 10, Lee Hyori created and sold these T-shirts specifically to support abandoned cats. The recent donation converted the 12 million KRW in proceeds into 4.6 tons of cat food, which was then delivered to caregivers and shelters across Jeju Island.
This is not Lee Hyori’s first animal welfare initiative. In August, she gained attention for creating and selling T-shirts to support abandoned dogs. She continues to donate all proceeds from both her cat and dog T-shirt sales, demonstrating her ongoing positive influence.
Since marrying musician Lee Sang Soon in 2013, Lee Hyori has resided on Jeju Island for 11 years. After moving to PyeongChang-dong, Seoul, in the latter half of last year, she recently opened a yoga studio, 'Ananda Yoga,' in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul, where she is active as a yoga instructor.
