
Actor Jung Il Woo paid tribute to the late Lee Soon Jae on November 26. The two had previously worked together in the 2006 MBC sitcom 'High Kick!,' where Jung Il Woo played Lee Soon Jae’s grandson, Lee Yoon Ho. The sitcom is also known as Jung Il Woo’s debut project.
On the morning of November 26, Jung Il Woo shared on his Instagram, “It was truly an honor to take my first steps as an actor alongside you. I will always remember your teachings and heart, and carry them with me as I continue forward.”
He continued, expressing regret for not being able to visit Lee Soon Jae in his final days: “I am deeply sorry that time passed without being able to see you. I am sincerely grateful for all the kindness you have shown me over the years.”



Jung Il Woo concluded his post with a heartfelt message: “I pray that you rest in peace. I love you, Grandpa.” Alongside the message, he shared several photos capturing memories with Lee Soon Jae, including scenes from 'High Kick!' and private moments where the two enjoyed time together.
Fans flooded the post with condolences, leaving messages such as: “Thank you for your hard work. I can only imagine the pain of this sudden loss. He was a great actor who will go down in history. Rest in peace.” “Thank you for the nostalgic photos. It must hurt, but I believe he will always watch over you. Rest in peace.” and “Rest well, Grandpa. Thank you for everything.”
