The highly anticipated mystery thriller 'The Price of Confession' finally revealed its premiere date, along with a striking poster and an intense teaser video.
Starring Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Go Eun, the drama follows Yoon Soo (played by Jeon Do Yeon), a woman accused of murdering her husband, and Mo Eun (played by Kim Go Eun), a mysterious woman rumored to be a witch. The series marks the two actresses’ first on-screen reunion in ten years, following their collaboration in the 2015 film 'Memories of the Sword.' The cast also includes Park Hae Soo and Jin Sun Kyu, adding further excitement to the project.
The newly released poster captures a haunting atmosphere, featuring Yoon Soo and Mo Eun both dressed in prison uniforms. Yoon Soo is seen pressing her ear against a wall, seemingly trying to hear something from the other side. On the opposite side, Mo Eun sits on the floor with her head resting against the same wall, her sorrowful gaze suggesting a deep, unspoken connection between the two women.
The teaser opens with Yoon Soo calling emergency services, reporting that her husband has been seriously injured and is bleeding out. The scene quickly shifts to her husband’s funeral, followed by Yoon Soo’s interrogation by the police as a prime suspect.
Despite the serious situation, Yoon Soo remains calm, asking for a mild coffee and casually mentioning 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,' noting that every murder investigation in the show begins with questioning the victim’s family members. Her unsettling calmness and cryptic smiles only increase the police’s suspicion.
Although Yoon Soo insists on her innocence, she is sentenced to prison, where she meets Mo Eun. Mo Eun offers to confess to the murder in exchange for something, creating a tense and unpredictable dynamic between the two. Their relationship seems to fracture, as one scene shows Yoon Soo angrily slapping Mo Eun.
The teaser concludes with a chilling line: “We will end up doing this crazy thing.” The ominous statement leaves viewers wondering what shocking act the two women will ultimately commit together.
