
HYBE label artists earned major distinctions at a prominent Japanese awards ceremony.
On November 21, the organizers of the 67th Japan Record Awards announced this year’s list of winners through their official website.
ILLIT took home the Excellent Work Award for their Japanese track "Almond Chocolate," becoming the only overseas act to be recognized in the main award category.
A total of ten teams, including ILLIT, were selected for the Excellent Work Award. They will compete for the grand prize during the live broadcast on TBS on the 30th of next month.
BOYNEXTDOOR and &TEAM also celebrated significant wins, receiving the New Artist Award and the Special International Music Award, respectively—further solidifying their rising popularity.
BOYNEXTDOOR captivated fans in Japan with their second Japanese single 'BOYLIFE,' which sold more than 340,000 copies in its first week.
&TEAM continued their steady momentum across Korea and Japan, achieving their first million-seller with their third single, 'Go in Blind.'
The Japan Record Awards, hosted annually by the Japan Composer’s Association, honor artists who have made outstanding achievements in music throughout the year.
