Actress Go Jun Hee revealed the story of her first luxury bag — a Chanel gifted by her father — and how she built her collection through hard work in her 20s.
On November 3, Go uploaded a video titled “The Chanel bag I bought for 1.2 million won... revealing everything” on her YouTube channel 'Go Jun Hee GO'. In the video, she showcased her entire Chanel bag collection and shared how her first piece came as a coming-of-age gift from her father.

“When my dad said he’d buy me my first luxury bag, I got so excited trying to decide what to get,” she recalled. “I was shooting in Paris at the time, and after a family discussion about where to buy it, we found that Paris was cheaper than duty-free. It cost 1.2 million won (approx. 860 USD) back then.”
The same model now sells for around 18 million won (≈ 12,860 USD). “I didn’t buy them for investment, but they turned out that way,” she laughed. “Most of these bags were bought in my 20s when they cost two to three million won each.”
Go also opened up about her disciplined approach to money in her early career. “After my dad gifted me the first one, I decided I had to buy the next one myself. My parents managed my money, and I was only allowed to spend 10% of what I earned. The rest went into savings,” she said.

“Back then, during drama shoots, I slept only two or three hours a day. Sometimes I cried because I didn’t want to go to work,” she admitted with a smile. “But I’d tell myself, ‘If you get up now, you can buy another bag,’ and suddenly I’d be wide awake.”
Go concluded by saying her most treasured bag remains her first Chanel, adding that after saving diligently, she began buying luxury gifts for her parents before herself.
