After a 15-year hiatus from the screen, actor Won Bin has once again captured public attention, this time as the new model for the shabu-shabu brand Shabu20.
The brand recently unveiled a new advertisement and photo campaign featuring Won Bin on its official social media channels and website. Shabu20 stated, “We are honored to welcome Won Bin, a national treasure and a symbol loved by the people of Korea.”
The company added, “His refined elegance and classic presence perfectly embody the values we have upheld over the past nine years, reflecting our commitment to sophistication and integrity. Partnering with Korea’s quintessential actor, Won Bin, is an incomparable journey.”
Won Bin has not appeared in any film or television projects since his 2010 hit 'The Man from Nowhere,' marking 15 years since his last acting role. However, he has remained active as a commercial model. Earlier this year, he appeared in advertisements for a cosmetics brand in January and a lifestyle service platform in May, each time drawing public admiration for his ageless, “vampire-like” looks.
Recently, fans were delighted to learn that Won Bin was spotted dining in Seoul’s Jamsil area with his wife, actress Lee Na Young, on fellow actor Ryu Jin’s YouTube channel. In July, golfer Park Inbee also shared photos of the couple traveling in Gyeongju on social media, offering a rare glimpse into the private actor’s life.
Although Won Bin has been away from acting for more than a decade, his enduring charm and mystique continue to fascinate the public, proving that true stars never fade.
