SUPER JUNIOR member Donghae has donated KRW 30 million (~21,000 USD) to support children suffering from cancer and rare incurable diseases.
On October 15th KST, the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation (Chairman: Shin Hee Young) announced, “Donghae, who serves as one of our ambassadors, has donated KRW 30 million.” The donation commemorates both his birthday and the 8th anniversary of his appointment as a promotional ambassador. The funds will go toward covering medical expenses for young patients.
Since 2017, Donghae has actively supported the foundation as an ambassador, participating in a wide range of programs such as studio photoshoots with child ambassadors and the Dream Contest, all aimed at raising awareness and support for pediatric cancer patients.
“I hope my small gesture, along with everyone’s warm-hearted support, can become a great source of strength for the children,” said Donghae. “I believe that even small acts of kindness can lead to great happiness. I’ll continue to be a guardian angel by their side.”
Seo Sun Won, Secretary General of the foundation, expressed deep appreciation:
“We’re incredibly grateful to Ambassador Donghae, who has consistently given for the past eight years. We hope his positive influence inspires even more public interest and support.”
Meanwhile, Donghae recently wrapped up SUPER JUNIOR’s 20th debut anniversary concert SUPER SHOW 10 in SEOUL, held in August at KSPO DOME. Since September, he has been on an international tour to meet fans worldwide.
