Singer and actor Rowoon is set to appear in the upcoming Japanese movie 'Lastman -FIRST LOVE-'.

The film is a cinematic adaptation of the 2023 Japanese TBS drama 'Lastman -Zenmei no Susakan-', which gained significant attention. The story follows a visually impaired FBI special investigator Minami Hiromi (Fukuyama Masaharu) and the noble detective Godo Shintaro (Oizumi Yo) as they tackle challenging cases. The movie is scheduled to premiere in Japan on December 24.

In the film, Rowoon takes on the role of FBI investigator Clyde Yoon. Producer Higashinaka commented, "Yoon is a strong character who can rival Minami. We believed that only Rowoon, with his acting skills, overwhelming charm, and presence, could portray this role."

This marks Rowoon’s first step into the Japanese film industry. Rowoon shared, "Appearing in a Japanese production was a new challenge for me, but I wanted to try acting in a different language and cultural setting. Yoon is a confident character full of ambition and passion for success. I hope everyone watches closely to see how he evolves throughout this story."

Rowoon’s popularity in Japan adds even more anticipation for the movie. His past dramas, including 'She Would Never Know', 'More Than Friends', and 'This Love Is Unavoidable', have garnered strong followings in Japan. His Disney+ original series 'Takryu' also ranked highly on the platform’s Top 10 in Japan immediately after its release.

In addition, Rowoon held a fan meeting at the Nippon Budokan in May, further solidifying his local popularity. On October 7, he is scheduled to hold two more fan meetings at the Tokyo Garden Theater under the title 'Extraordinary Day', meeting fans in person.

With his growing influence both domestically and abroad, all eyes are on Rowoon’s next moves.

Originally set to enlist in July, Rowoon’s military service was postponed to October 27 after a re-examination.
