Park Bom, a former member of the K-pop group 2NE1, has filed a lawsuit against Yang Hyun Suk, the founder and former CEO of YG Entertainment, alleging fraud and embezzlement.
The lawsuit claims that Yang failed to pay Park Bom her rightful earnings from various activities, including music releases, performances, broadcasts, advertisements, events, songwriting, and composition. The total amount of unpaid earnings is estimated at 64272e trillion hundred million KRW (approx. 4.5 quadrillion USD).
On October 22, Park Bom reportedly shared a photo of the complaint on Instagram, but the post was later deleted. The lawsuit states that YG Entertainment neither provided accounting statements nor made payments, causing significant financial and emotional harm.
The sudden release of the lawsuit document has left fans shocked, with many expressing confusion and concern over the situation.
Meanwhile, Park Bom is currently on a hiatus from all activities. Her agency, D-Nation Entertainment, stated: “Park Bom will not be participating in 2NE1’s upcoming schedules. After consultation and receiving medical advice recommending sufficient rest and stability, we have made the difficult decision for her to take a break.”
