Global K-pop celebration '2025 MAMA AWARDS' has unveiled its first host, officially announcing Park Bo Gum as the MC for the opening day of the event.
CJ ENM revealed that Park Bo Gum will lead 'Chapter 1' of the two-day ceremony, which is set to take place on November 28 and 29 at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong, a newly opened landmark venue and rising hub for large-scale events in Asia.
A symbol of poise and charm, Park Bo Gum will mark his seventh appearance as a MAMA host, having previously led the prestigious ceremony in 2017, 2018, 2019, and consecutively from 2022 to 2024. Notably, he was part of the show’s historic moments, including the MAMA Awards’ U.S. debut and its rebranding era. He has also been present on the stages of Japan’s three major domes—Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo.
Celebrating Mnet’s 30th anniversary, the MAMA Awards return to Hong Kong, a meaningful location in the awards’ history. Park Bo Gum is expected to deliver the event’s vision with his signature warmth and stability, embodying the message of “UH-HEUNG”—an empowering call to embrace individuality and diversity without fear across regions, cultures, and identities.
This year’s theme seeks to go beyond entertainment by championing authenticity and inclusion. As such, Park Bo Gum’s involvement as Chapter 1 host is expected to set the tone for a deeply resonant and globally unifying celebration.
Meanwhile, curiosity is building over who will take the stage as the Chapter 2 host on the second day of the festival.
The 2025 MAMA Awards is sponsored by Visa, a global leader in payment technologies, and will be broadcast live via Mnet Plus and other major digital platforms, bringing together millions of fans worldwide.
