New information has surfaced regarding the alleged "racism" controversy at the 'Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2026 Collection Show' during 'Paris Fashion Week', held on September 29 (local time).
As usual, 'Saint Laurent' gathered some of the biggest global stars in entertainment and fashion, seating them in the front row for the big show. However, accusations of "racism" broke out soon after the show when 'Elle UK' posted a photo from the scene with BLACKPINK's Rosé cropped out.
Later, further controversy brewed over a photo from the event posted by Charli XCX, then re-posted by Hailey Bieber, showing Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz, and Charli XCX in the spotlight while Rosé was seemingly "darkened out".
In response to fans' persistent criticism, 'Elle UK' spoke out on October 2 (local time), issuing a formal apology.
A day later, while many fans continued to express their anger and frustration over the ordeal, singer Madonna also updated her Instagram with photos from her time at the 'Saint Laurent' show. One photo, in particular, included Rosé as well as the other Hollywood stars mentioned above.
Seeing Madonna's update, fans were able to confirm that Rosé was in fact seated at the "center" of the front row as one of the brand's representative global ambassadors, as has been customary in the past. It was further pointed out that in previous years, Rosé's seat at 'Saint Laurent' shows were often right next to François-Henri Pinault, CEO of Kering Group, the parent company of 'Saint Laurent'.
In light of the new information, some netizens reacted, "Madonna, queen as always", "So who are those ladies beside Rosé again? I only know Rosé and Madonna", "Madonna making things right again without even trying", "Madonna giving those bullies the treatment they deserve lol", "Rosé is THE global ambassador for 'Saint Laurent', of course she should be in the center", "Aha so Rosé ended up in that awkward situation because Madonna and her husband were late to the show hahahaha", and more.
