Lee Mu jin apologized to NMIXX’s Kyujin, who was affected by the fallout from the KBS boycott.
Recently, a video of Lee Mu jin Service featuring NMIXX was released on the ‘KBS Kpop’ channel. During the episode, Lee Mu jin addressed the boycott indirectly, saying, “I can’t just let this go without acknowledging it. I’m sorry. I should even kneel, but I was raised by my father to be strong as a man, so I can’t kneel. Kyujin, it’s our first meeting, and I’m really glad to see you.”
He added, “It happened in the past, but that doesn’t mean it disappears. I was truly sorry back then, and I wanted to express that in front of the viewers. I tried to make it lighthearted, but I feel solemn thinking about the duet we had prepared that day, which we couldn’t perform.”
Kyujin replied, “So I’m really, really happy that we get to perform the duet today.” Lee Mu jin responded, “I’m so grateful to hear you say that. Please enjoy performing what we couldn’t do back then. Once again, I sincerely apologize.”
The controversy began on October 3, when One Hundred Label claimed that KBS blocked NB100 artist Xiumin from appearing on 'Music Bank.' KBS denied the claim, calling it “groundless,” and the dispute escalated over communication issues. As a result, One Hundred Label announced a full boycott of KBS programs for their artists.
During this period, Lee Mu jin, who is under One Hundred Label’s BPM Entertainment, did not attend the 'Lee Mu jin Service' recording. This unprecedented absence left Kyujin to carry out the recording alone, highlighting the impact of the boycott on affected artists.
