Actress Kim Hee Sun has revealed that she used to be part of an exclusive online café that only celebrities could join — and that G-Dragon and Se7en were among the members.
The episode of the web variety show Salon Drip, Kim Hee Sun appeared as a guest and reminisced about her connections with younger artists from her earlier days. “I used to chat with G-Dragon when he was still in high school,” she said. “There was a 'Daum café' (popular Korean online community platform) back then that only celebrities could join, and you had to verify your identity to get in. Once accepted, we’d just talk casually among ourselves — that’s how I got to know G-Dragon and Se7en.”
She added with a laugh, “I was in my 30s and Se7en was in his 20s back then, so I used to call him my son. But now he’s in his 40s — it feels like time flew by so fast.”
When host Jang Do Yeon asked what happened to the café, Kim Hee Sun replied, “It doesn’t exist anymore. People used to date inside the café, and when they broke up, they’d leave the group in a dramatic way. Sometimes we’d even guess who would make headlines in news— and they really did!”
