Jungkook of BTS has achieved another major milestone on the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify.
According to Spotify’s chart dated October 19 KST, Jungkook’s performance of the official soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, titled “Dreamers”, has surpassed 500 million streams.
This marks Jungkook’s fifth song to reach the 500 million stream milestone, following:
- “Seven (feat. Latto)”
- “Standing Next to You”
- “Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)” with Charlie Puth
- “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)”
Upon its release in November 2022, “Dreamers” dominated the global charts—topping the iTunes Top Songs charts in 102 countries/regions and ranking #2 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart on November 20.
The song also made waves on YouTube. The performance video of “Dreamers”, released on FIFA’s official YouTube channel, has accumulated over 420 million views as of October 2, becoming the most viewed video in the channel’s history.
In total, Jungkook has surpassed 9.7 billion cumulative streams on Spotify with his solo tracks alone. Notably, “Seven (feat. Latto)” has become the first song by a Korean artist to exceed 2.5 billion streams, solidifying his global solo success.
