Japanese media outlet Shūkan Bunshun reported that Shosei Ohira, a member of the boy group JO1, maintained an inappropriate relationship with Shizuku from the girl group ME:I while already being in a relationship with a non-celebrity girlfriend.
Following the report, LAPONE Entertainment, the agency representing JO1, released an official statement on October 15, announcing Ohira’s suspension.“Shosei Ohira has been found to have engaged in conduct that violates company regulations. As his actions have deeply disappointed fans, we have determined that he needs time to reflect on his behavior. Therefore, he will be suspending all activities for the time being,” the agency stated.
Meanwhile, LAPONE GIRLS, the management company of ME:I, also issued an apology and confirmed Shizuku’s hiatus. “We sincerely apologize to all fans. We will strengthen our artist education and management to prevent such incidents from recurring,” the agency said.
