JANNABI is returning with an album steeped in the deep sentiment of autumn.
On October 7th KST, JANNABI announced via their official social media that their 4th full-length album, titled 'Sound of Music pt.2: LIFE', will be released on October 21st, accompanied by a teaser video.
This new record continues JANNABI’s exploration of how to “sing about life through music.” The subtitle “LIFE” signals a thematic continuation of the band’s signature philosophical musings, as previously expressed in tracks like “Dream, Book, Power, and Wall”, “Goodbye, Grief”, and “Solitary Island Romance.”
The teaser video released alongside the announcement hints at a warm, lyrical atmosphere. The orchestral melodies evoke JANNABI’s fairy-tale-like sensibility, reminiscent of beloved ballads from their earlier works—such as “Summer” from their debut album Legend, “For Lovers Who Hesitate” from their second album, and “Thoughts on an Autumn Night” from their mini album.
The Sound of Music series is a two-part project forming their fourth studio album. While pt.1, released in April, captured the hope, vitality, and romance of youth, pt.2 promises to contrast that with a deeper, more introspective autumnal mood.
Earlier this year, JANNABI released a special album titled Sound of Music: Summer Break Edition! on July 29th, delivering a playful and carefree summer vibe. In August, the band also marked a milestone by performing for the first time at the KSPO Dome, one of Korea’s largest concert venues.
JANNABI’s 4th full-length album Sound of Music pt.2: LIFE will be available on all major digital music platforms starting October 21st at 6 PM (KST).
