On October 11, former Rainbow member Go Woori shared the heartbreaking news of her pet cat Blue’s passing on her social media, posting several photos to commemorate her beloved companion.
Alongside images from Blue’s funeral, Go Woori wrote, “Goodbye, Blue. Mommy loves you so, so much. Let’s meet again for sure.”
The news prompted an outpouring of support from friends and fellow celebrities. Rainbow member No Eul commented, “What happened all of a sudden? I’ve known Blue since she was a kitten—it’s hard to believe. She must have gone to a better place.” Similarly, group member Jaekyung expressed her sadness, writing, “What happened all of a sudden?”
Comedian Shin Bong Sun also offered words of comfort, saying, “Blue has left us. Let’s stay strong and get through this, for the treasure-like pets that come into our lives.” Throughout the day, Go Woori shared multiple photos of Blue from her lifetime, expressing her love and longing.
Fans also left heartfelt messages, such as: “Blue must have been so loved and surely arrived safely in cat heaven. Wishing you and your family strength,” and “She went to a good place after receiving so much love.”
Outside of her pet loss, Go Woori is known as a singer and actress and formerly a member of the girl group Rainbow. In October 2022, she married a non-celebrity man five years her senior, whom she met through an acquaintance.
