Former f(x) member Krystal Jung has just announced her upcoming first solo album.
The upcoming release will be Krystal’s first solo album since her debut in 2009 as a member of the legendary girl group f(x). Though fans have been speculating about a possible Krystal solo album since 2017, it has only just now been confirmed to be in the works.
On October 10, Krystal’s agency Beasts and Natives Alike (BANA) announced that Krystal is currently working on her solo album. The news came shortly after Krystal posted a photo from inside the recording studio on her social media, hinting at her return to the music industry.
Since f(x)’s disbandment, Krystal has built up an impressive acting career, and has even recorded several drama OSTs. Though she often expressed her desire to release new music of her own, it wasn’t until joining her new company BANA in February 2025 that her dream became possible.
Krystal’s comeback is expected to take place in either late 2025 or the first half of 2026.
