Co-stars have shared what it’s really like to work with Girls' Generation’s YoonA, and their praise hasn’t stopped coming.
Recently, YoonA portrayed chef Yoon Ji Young in tvN’s hit weekend drama 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.' The series, which started with a 4.9% viewership rating according to Nielsen Korea, wrapped up its final episode with an impressive 17.1%, marking a major success.
As the drama concluded, the cast has been busy with interviews, many of them offering heartfelt stories about YoonA’s kindness, professionalism, and leadership on set.
Actor Oh Eui Shik shared, "Lim Yoona was on set almost all day. You’d think she’d want a break at some point, but even while filming in extreme heat without air conditioning, she never frowned, complained, or showed any sign of exhaustion. She always smiled, tried to lead the team, and cared for everyone. Even when the production team tried to give her special consideration because she wasn’t feeling well, she refused if it meant being the only one treated differently."
Lee Joo Ahn, who played Gong Gil, added, "YoonA sunbaenim is truly considerate and attentive, even to the smallest details. She felt like someone who has reached a higher level. She was the one who brought everyone together and made the atmosphere feel balanced and warm."
Kim Hyeong Mook, who played Woo Gon, praised her as well: "After working with her, I realized she’s a natural leader who genuinely takes care of her colleagues. She’s a person of great character."
Yoon Seo Ah said, "You can see YoonA’s warmth on screen, but in real life, she’s even more giving — like a tree that gives endlessly. She’s so caring that my admiration for her deepened even more. On cold days, she’d place a hot pack in my hands, and when I wasn’t feeling well, she’d warm up a cup of ssanghwatang for me."
Kim Hyun Mok also shared, "She even gave us Chuseok gifts. I was really touched that she thought of me too. Considering her personality, it wasn’t surprising when she reached out personally. She even keeps up with my movie and drama updates. She treated everyone so warmly on set."
Meanwhile, YoonA will continue her 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty YOONA DRAMA FANMEETING' tour, with upcoming stops in Macau on October 12, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on October 18, and Taipei on November 23.
