SEVENTEEN’s special unit S.Coups x Mingyu has unveiled a preview of their upcoming mini album, 'HYPE VIBES.' On September 22 KST, PLEDIS Entertainment shared a highlight medley video via SEVENTEEN’s official social media channels.
The video, which runs approximately 3 minutes and 15 seconds, offers a glimpse of every track on the album along with snippets of lyrics. The most anticipated track is the title song, “5, 4, 3 (Pretty woman),” which samples Roy Orbison’s classic hit “Oh, Pretty Woman.” The lyrics are refreshingly straightforward, expressing raw attraction with lines like “She’s on fire” and “So spicy.”
The remaining tracks showcase a wide range of genres, each capturing different moments of daily life.
- “Fiesta” is a hip-hop track that contrasts groovy bass with fluttering flute sounds.
- “Worth it” blends an 808 bass with synth lines, imagining a relationship defined by a deep, shared connection and mutual excitement.
- “For you” brings an easy listening pop vibe.
- “Young again” incorporates elements of rock.
- “Earth” dives into the EDM genre.
The video itself is organically structured, weaving together scenes of the duo jogging in the morning, cruising during the day, enjoying a sunset swim, and partying late at night — all portraying the vibrancy of their present moment.
S.Coups x Mingyu will officially release “HYPE VIBES” on September 29 at 6 PM (KST). To celebrate, a special pop-up event will be held at Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul starting September 30.
