BLACKPINK’s Rosé has made history at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
On September 7, Rosé took home Song of the Year for her hit collaboration “APT.” with Bruno Mars, becoming the first-ever K-pop artist to win a major VMA category. The ceremony took place at the UBS Arena in New York.

Appearing on stage in a stunning gold gown, Rosé said, “I can’t believe this,” before thanking Bruno Mars and adding, “This moment feels like a reward for all the effort that’s been put in.”

Rosé was nominated in a record-breaking eight categories this year, including Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, and Best Direction.
Meanwhile, all four BLACKPINK members were nominated in the Best K-pop category with their solo songs, with Lisa winning her third trophy for “Born Again” alongside Doja Cat and Raye.
