Actor Lee Kwang Soo is preparing to team up once again with Korea’s beloved “Nation’s MC” Yoo Jae Suk in a new Netflix variety show titled 'Yoo Jae Suk Camp,' scheduled for release next year. According to Star News on September 3, Lee is currently in positive discussions to join the cast.
This show marks a major milestone for Yoo Jae Suk, who will take on the role of guesthouse owner for the first time in his 34 year career. He will personally welcome guests and manage the property. The program is directed by Jung Hyo Min, known for pioneering the “guesthouse variety” genre with 'Hyori’s Homestay' and 'Kian’s Bizarre B&B.' Lee Kwang Soo is expected to bring his signature comedic chemistry to the show as the first staff member of the guesthouse.
The production team is still finalizing the cast and recruiting additional staff members. Public applications for guests opened on July 12, and filming is expected to begin between September and October once casting is complete.
At the Netflix Entertainment Festival 2025 held on September 2, co-director Lee So Min shared that more than 55,000 teams applied to stay at the guesthouse, and 3,500 interviews were conducted. She expressed excitement about showcasing Yoo Jae Suk’s leadership and hinted at revealing a more unpolished side of him that viewers have never seen. She emphasized that the guesthouse will be a collaborative experience between Yoo Jae Suk and the guests.
With Lee Kwang Soo’s involvement and Yoo Jae Suk leading the way, 'Yoo Jae Suk Camp' is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most anticipated variety shows of the coming year.
