Speculation about a romance between actress Kim Yoo Jung and actor Kim Do Hoon quickly spread online, but Kim Yoo Jung’s agency has firmly denied the rumors.
On September 20, a representative from Kim Yoo Jung’s agency told Xports News, “After finishing the filming of the drama 'Dear X,' the cast and staff, including the director, went on a team MT (membership training) trip. The photo in question was taken during that trip. The dating rumors are not true.”
The rumors began after a photo circulated in an online community showing Kim Do Hoon with a woman presumed to be Kim Yoo Jung. One netizen also claimed to have seen Kim Do Hoon on a Vietnam Airlines business class flight, fueling speculation. Although the woman in the photo was wearing a mask, making her identity unclear, her outfit resembled one Kim Yoo Jung had shared on social media in June, leading to assumptions that she was the actress.
In the photo, the woman is seen wearing shorts, a tank top layered with a shirt, and carrying a green bag atop her suitcase. The outfit looked strikingly similar to Kim Yoo Jung’s previous SNS post.
However, with the agency clarifying that it was simply a drama team trip, the dating speculation has been dismissed as a misunderstanding.
At the same time, Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Do Hoon recently worked together on the TVING original series 'Dear X.' The drama follows Baek Ah Jin, played by Kim Yoo Jung, a woman who wears a mask to escape hell and rise to the top, along with the stories of the “Xs” she ruthlessly tramples on. 'Dear X' is scheduled to premiere on November 6.
