SUGA of BTS has returned to social media after nearly two years, delighting fans across the globe with his surprise update.
On September 22 KST, SUGA posted several photos on his personal social media account without any captions. The images featured him in a quiet studio space, playing the guitar. Dressed in a sleek black outfit with a freshly cropped hairstyle, SUGA exuded a calm yet refined presence.
His focused posture, immersed in music within the stillness of the room, felt like a candid glimpse into the daily life of a dedicated musician. The raw and intimate mood of the photos left a lasting impression on fans.
This update quickly gained traction, as it marked SUGA’s first post in nearly two years. He began his alternative military service as a public service worker in September 2023, and was officially discharged this past June. Due to limited public appearances and restricted online activity during his service, the new post was met with overwhelming enthusiasm.
Fans took to social media to express their excitement, with many commenting things like “This must be a sign of his comeback” and “He’s definitely getting ready for something big.” Known as BTS’s main producer and rapper, SUGA has played a key role in crafting many of the group’s hit songs. His return signals not only a personal comeback but also a rising anticipation for BTS’s future activities.
Notably, BTS is expected to make a full-group comeback in spring 2026, once all members have completed their military duties.
Earlier this year, SUGA made headlines for his generous donation of 5 billion KRW (approx. 3.6 million USD) to Severance Hospital to support treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder.
