BLACKPINK's “BOOMBAYAH” becomes highest-charting girl group song in Shazam history

BLACKPINK has once again proven why they are considered one of the Biggest Girl Groups of all-time, as their debut songs still continue to be well received by the public, reaching new heights on the music charts and setting new records.

Now, 9 years after its release, BLACKPINK's "Boombayah" has climbed to #5 on Shazam's Global Chart, surpassing the record previously set by their own recent hit "Jump" (which peaked at #7) and becoming the Highest-Charting Song for a Girl Group in Shazam History.

A similar situation was seen in the US, where "Boombayah" rose to #15 on Shazam, becoming BLACKPINK's highest-charting song of all time.

The surprises and joys don't end there as due to a huge increase in its numbers, "Boombayah" has become BLACKPINK's 7th song to surpass 1,600,000 Shazams.
