Singer Ailee and her husband Choi Si Hoon opened up about a frightening flight experience they recently endured.
On their YouTube channel "llyne Marriage Diary", Ailee shared that while returning from South Africa, their plane was unable to land in Hong Kong due to a powerful typhoon. After circling in the air five times, the pilot announced that the aircraft was running out of fuel, forcing an emergency landing in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Ailee recalled, “They said the plane had to land to refuel. I was so scared. I hurriedly paid for one hour of Wi-Fi to send messages to my husband.” Text messages and voice calls exchanged between the couple showed her struggling to stay connected as Choi, in Korea, grew increasingly worried.
Choi added, “I woke up from a nightmare and saw she hadn’t landed yet. When I tracked her location, she was over the ocean. Our whole family panicked.”
The couple looked back on the incident with relief, admitting that the ordeal left them shaken but grateful to be safe.
