
Actresses Yum Jung Ah, Cha Joo Young, and Kim Hye Yoon are set to transform into a trio of daring bank robbers in the highly anticipated crime drama 'Land,' directed by Han Dong Wook.
According to industry sources, the three stars recently confirmed their leading roles in 'Land' and participated in a script reading session on August 12. The production team is currently finalizing details, with plans to begin filming within the year.
'Land' is a gripping crime drama set in a struggling mining town now overshadowed by a casino. The story follows three women who, while facing hardship, plot a bank robbery and become entangled in a series of unexpected events.
Yum Jung Ah takes on the role of Hwa Sook, the eldest sister standing at a crossroads in life. Cha Joo Young plays Chun Ja, a spirited woman obsessed with the casino lifestyle. Both characters are portrayed as bold and loyal. Meanwhile, Kim Hye Yoon joins as Do Yeon, the youngest member of the group and a bank employee.
Director Han Dong Wook, known for his work on the Disney+ series 'The Worst of Evil,' leads the project. Produced by SANAI Pictures, the film aims to expand the crime genre by weaving a compelling female-driven narrative.
