On August 25, INFINITE member and solo artist Jang Dong Woo took the Philippine concert stage as a solo artist for his 'Connection' Asia tour, marking first concert.
Among the songs Dong Woo performed were "News," "Party Girl," and "Perfect" from his solo debut mini-album, 'Bye,' released in March 2019. He also surprised fans by covering KISS OF LIFE Natty's "Sugarcoat" and aespa Karina's "Up."
In a segment called "ddoddostagram," Dong Woo shared recent updates with his fans, including his trips to the gym and his food adventures. He mentioned visiting a night market, where he was able to immerse himself in the local culture.
For a new, unreleased song from his upcoming album, Dong Woo asked fans to help him choose a title. The options he gave were "Tic Tac Toe," "Checkmate," and "Game Over," to which fans chose "Checkmate." He then revealed that the song will be on his new album, which is his first in six years, set to be released in November.
Dong Woo also played a game with fans. Whoever correctly guessed his preference in a series of questions won an autographed poster and a selfie with him.
During the game, he chose "angel" as his alter ego and revealed that if he were to remake a song, he would choose "Nothing's Over" over "Cover Girl."
When asked what he does while showering, Dong Woo shared that he prefers to blast music at max volume and sing along rather than doing choreography.
To cap off the night, Dong Woo descended from the stage to get closer to the audience and perform INFINITE songs including "Nothing's Over" and "Cover Girl," ensuring fans went home with cherished memories.
"Thank you so much to all the Inspirits [the group's fandom name] who came to the show today. I'm very thankful to the parents of the Inspirits who gave birth to them. I'm also very thankful for the staff members who helped and allowed me to have a fan concert here," he said.
He continued, "When I was young, we went on a family trip every week. Now I go on my Asia tour every week, and it feels like a family trip every time."
"You are my second family," he added. "Please don't get sick. Please stay healthy until the time I come back. Please stay happy and please remember our 'infinite connection.'"
