From air banners to billboards - Fans celebrate BTS V’s (Kim Taehyung) first pitch at the Dodgers Stadium with support projects

To commemorate Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, and his first-ever ceremonial pitch at an upcoming LA Dodgers game, fans around the world are organizing large-scale celebration events.

Taehyung is scheduled to take the mound on August 25 (local time) at Dodger Stadium. Following the announcement, ticket sales for the game surged fivefold as fans rushed to secure seats.

Chinese fanclub 'V Bar' unveiled a special project: an aircraft will fly over Dodger Stadium carrying a 60-meter banner reading “ONE & ONLY MY SUPERSTAR V”, filling the sky with fans’ heartfelt message. 

The air banner will run for four hours before the game, ensuring that everyone heading to the stadium sees it.

Korean fanbases V INSIDE and Kim Taehyung Supporters Korea, together with the global fanbase V Union, arranged digital billboards along the busy Long Beach-area (710) Freeway and the Santa Ana (5) Freeway. 

With hundreds of thousands of cars passing daily, the billboards will reach LA residents, Dodgers fans, and tourists on their way to the game.

Inside Dodger Stadium, ribbon board displays during the match will feature messages from fans worldwide expressing their love and pride for Taehyung. Advertising slots sold out almost immediately due to overwhelming demand.

Multiple fanbases joined the ribbon board campaign. Proceeds from the ribbon board messages will be donated to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, supporting youth education, health, homelessness relief, and social justice initiatives in LA.

V will throw out the first pitch on Monday, August 25.
