Donghae confesses his love for Heechul, who jokes: "Are you filming for YouTube?"

Super Junior’s Donghae and Heechul recently shared a chat on August 24 that had fans both touched and amused. What stood out most was the open affection between the two.

Donghae:

“Really, really, I’m so, so happy and glad that you’re with me, hyung!! Let’s be together, hyung! Stay with me, hyung! I love you.”

Heechul:
“I’m really struggling too, but I’m so happy. Let’s be Super Junior forever, you punk.”

Donghae:
“Let’s do it together! If it’s hard, take it easy. The younger brothers will run around in front of you a little bit. ㅎㅎ”

Heechul:
“? Why is this kid so affectionate today..? Are you filming for YouTube? Or are you planning to post this on Instagram too?”

Donghae:
“ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ (Hahahahahahaha)”

Donghae:
“No, I mean it. I’m really happy to be with you, hyung.”

Donghae:
“I love you, hyung!! Our HeeRopong ♥”

Heechul:
“ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I’m going to upload this ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ”

Donghae:
“ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Even if you screenshot and upload it, I love you! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ”

Heechul (captioned at the bottom):
“Why is this kid so affectionate today, does anyone know?” 

Fans were charmed by this rare display of open affection, noting how their bond had only grown stronger over the 23 years they had been together since their trainee days. Even after two decades together, Super Junior continues to show why their brotherhood is as enduring as their music.

Their words come just after Super Junior successfully wrapped up three sold-out concerts at Seoul’s KSPO Dome from August 22–24, performing to 30,000 fans. The shows were simultaneously broadcast in theaters across 14 regions worldwide and streamed on multiple platforms as part of the group’s Super Show 10 tour. The event carried extra weight as it marked Heechul’s return to full stage concert performance for the first time in nearly 8 years, following a long hiatus due to chronic leg pain from his 2006 accident.
