DAY6 members Young K and Wonpil have opened up about their excitement and emotions ahead of the group’s first-ever stadium concert in Korea, marking a major milestone in their 10-year career.

On August 30 and 31, DAY6 will hold their 10th anniversary solo concert, “DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour ,” at the Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province. The event not only celebrates a decade since their debut but also serves as a prelude to their comeback, with a new album set to be released on September 5.

Following their historic performance at the Gocheok Sky Dome last December—making them the first K-pop band to do so—DAY6 will become the first Korean band to perform at the Goyang stadium as well, setting yet another record.

During a live SNS broadcast on the night of August 5, Young K and Wonpil shared their thoughts with fans. “The 10th anniversary is just the beginning,” said Young K. “If you wait just a bit longer, there’s a lot coming your way. Please look forward to it.” Wonpil added, “When I saw the official announcement, it felt surreal. I always dreamed of an outdoor concert, and now we’re performing in Goyang. I’m so thankful—it’s overwhelming. I think it’s going to be an incredible show with DAY6 and My Day.”

Earlier this year in April, the members attended Coldplay’s concert as part of the audience at the same venue. Young K was even seen shedding tears, moved by the experience. Now, just four months later, DAY6 will stand on that very stage to celebrate their own 10th anniversary with fans.

Reflecting on that moment, Young K said, “We were at the Coldplay concert, and I cried so much. I guess I looked pitiful because NMIXX sunbaes(senior artists) handed me tissues,” he laughed. “We’re going to give it our all. My personal goal is to cry at least during the ending of the concert.”

As for the tears he’s been shedding, Young K reflected, “I think they’re tears of relief and release. It’s not that I’m overwhelmed with work—rather, when I look back, I realize how hard we worked. There’s a sense of pride in how far we’ve come.”

The two members also spoke about the upcoming 10th anniversary album. Following the concert, DAY6 will release their fourth full-length album “The DECADE” on September 5. It will be the band’s first studio album in nearly six years, following “The Book of Us: Entropy” released in October 2019.

“It’s been a long time coming. We’ve been working on it for about a year, starting last September,” said Young K. Wonpil added, “We’ve been working on it bit by bit whenever we could.”

“The time before an album drops is always the most exciting,”
Wonpil said with a smile. “It’s nice for both us and My Day to be waiting in this kind of anticipation.” Young K added, “While you’re having fun and looking forward to it, we’ll be getting everything ready.”

Before the concert and album drop, fans have another treat in store: DAY6’s very first film, '6DAYS', is set to hit theaters on August 13. The music road movie captures six days of music and memories as the members embark on a cinematic journey—not just as performers, but as four ordinary young men. The 81-minute film will be released in multiple formats, including 2D, SCREENX, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX, offering an immersive viewing experience.

To celebrate the release, the members will greet fans in person at a special screening event on August 16 at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. Tickets for that showing open at 11 AM KST on August 8.
