ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo’s latest military update has surfaced online, drawing attention from fans and netizens alike.
On August 19, a post titled 'Cha Eun Woo’s Military Update from a Social Media Comment' appeared on an online community. According to one netizen, “My superior’s son is in the same training batch as Cha Eun Woo. That week, he was assigned to dishwashing duty, and everyone kept bringing their dishes to him just to catch a glimpse of his face.”
The story quickly went viral, with community users leaving comments such as, “I would do the same just to see him,” “Don’t overwork him,” “Dishwashing duty is already tough, especially in this heat,” and “I also want to see Eun Woo in person.”
This isn’t the first anecdote to emerge from the training center. One individual previously shared, “I’m working as a cook, and I saw Cha Eun Woo doing the dishes. He was really focused on the task. Even with a shaved head, he looked so handsome that I couldn’t help but avoid eye contact.”
Another story claimed that when fellow trainees kept staring, an instructor stepped in and said, “Don’t stare. He’s a person, too.”
Cha Eun Woo enlisted at the Army Training Center in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, on July 28. After completing basic military training, he will serve in the Army’s military band. His discharge date is set for January 27, 2027.
