On August 12 KST, boy group AMPERS&ONE held a media showcase to celebrate the release of their third mini-album 'Loud & Proud'. Members Camden Na, Brian, Choi Jiho, Yoonsi, Kyrel, Makaya, and Kim Seungmo attended, unveiling performances of the title track That’s That and the B-side Seesaw, while sharing insights on the new release and their upcoming activities.
This album captures AMPERS&ONE’s confidence in the face of society’s prejudices and standards. Embracing the message “Say whatever you want,” the group delivers a fearless and daring image. The concept of the rebel angel overturns the traditionally pure and gentle image of angels, presenting a fresh and unconventional message.
Member Kyrel explained, “Angels are usually seen as kind and innocent. We wanted to create a twist—an angel with a rebellious edge—to show that you can have confidence even if you’re not perfect.” He added that Camden fit the concept well for his natural charisma and stylish persona.
The title track "That’s That" is a hip-hop dance song that blends trap and ratchet genres, highlighted by a catchy saxophone line and dynamic melody. The lyrics convey a bold message: to ignore disapproving gazes, carve your own path, and break limits to achieve your goals.
Both Camden and Makaya contributed lyrics to all six tracks, infusing the album with the group’s authentic voice. Other songs include the funky pop dance track "Seesaw", hybrid trap pop "Get Famous", the powerful "Move Out", the witty house-pop "Did It", and the Latin pop dance number "I’m Down".
The group also shared a playful promise: if they win first place on a music show, they will bungee jump together wearing angel wings—despite Camden’s fear of heights.
Marking this comeback as a turning point, Brian expressed, “We’ve mostly done bright and cool concepts, but this time it’s stronger and hip-hop-based. It’s our first time showing this side, so I’m both nervous and excited.” Choi Jiho added, “We wanted to try something different, to show that AMPERS&ONE can cover a wide range of concepts.”
Loud & Proud was released at 6 p.m. KST on major music platforms.
