It was recently revealed that WINNER’s Song Min Ho (Mino) was involved in a car accident last month.
According to a Maeil Business Star Today report on July 4, Song Min Ho was riding in a taxi on June 14 when the vehicle was involved in a traffic accident near Dapsimni Station in Yongdap-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Although the accident was not serious, Song Min Ho reportedly visited a hospital as a precaution to check for any possible aftereffects.
Since debuting with the group WINNER in August 2014, Song Min Ho has gained widespread recognition with hit songs such as "EMPTY," "REALLY REALLY," and "EVERYDAY." He also finished as the runner-up on Mnet’s 'Show Me the Money 10' and became a popular figure on variety shows including 'New Journey to the West.'
In March 2023, he began his alternative military service as a social service worker and was discharged on December 23, 2023. However, just before his discharge, he faced allegations of failing to report for duty and not fulfilling his responsibilities properly.
The Military Manpower Administration requested a police investigation. As a result, Song Min Ho was booked and the police later referred the case to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office on May 22 without detention. During questioning, he reportedly admitted to leaving his assigned post during working hours.
Meanwhile, WINNER is scheduled to hold a solo concert on July 26 and 27 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park. The performance will proceed with three members: Kang Seung Yoon, Kim Jin Woo, and Lee Seung Hoon. Song Min Ho will not be participating in the concert.
