Red Velvet’s Yeri is officially beginning her full-fledged journey as an actress, making her big-screen debut in a teen horror film.
On July 9, the production team of the film 'The Ghost Game' (directed by Son Dong Wan) released still cuts of Yeri in her role as Ja Young, showing her unshaken demeanor even in the face of horror.
'The Ghost Game' tells the story of Ja Young and her friends who attempt to perform a real shamanic ritual while filming a video for a contest submission, and the terrifying events that unfold. Yeri plays Ja Young, the class president of Grade 3, Class 5 at Gyesang High School. She’s the first to agree to Ki Ho’s (played by Seo Dong Hyun) suggestion to film the shamanic ritual, and she chillingly portrays a mysterious character.
Yeri previously showcased her acting skills in the MBN series 'Bitch x Rich.' She recently reprised her role as Baek Je Na in 'Bitch x Rich 2,' which was released on July 3.
'The Ghost Game' made its world premiere at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival on July 5 and is set for theatrical release on August 6.
