Actor Park Bo Gum has been appointed as the 2025 Honorary Ambassador for Korean Tourism, representing Korea on the global stage.
On July 29th KST, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization held an official appointment ceremony at SJ Kunsthalle, where Park Bo Gum was formally named the new honorary ambassador.
During the event, two promotional videos starring Park Bo Gum were unveiled for the first time. The first video, styled as a music video, features the campaign’s theme song “On My Way”, which was specially created for this year’s global Korea tourism campaign. Sung by Park Bo Gum himself, the track enhances the emotional resonance of the video. The second video, a fantasy-inspired short film, offers a glimpse into Korea through the eyes of a traveler, showcasing the country’s beauty and diversity.
Coinciding with the release of the videos, the Korea Tourism Organization launched a global interactive event (July 29 – August 12) via its official YouTube channel Imagine Your Korea. Viewers who respond in the comments to Park Bo Gum’s closing question—
“What song would you recommend listening to while traveling in Korea?”
will be entered into a prize draw to win round-trip airfare to Korea and other rewards.
The selected song recommendations, along with a personal pick from Park Bo Gum, will later be compiled into a special playlist titled “My Korea Travel Playlist.” This playlist will be featured as a new piece of content on the Imagine Your Korea YouTube channel at the end of August.
