NCT's Doyoung has just made yet another charitable donation.
On July 11, the donation platform 'Direct Donation Center' announced that NCT Doyoung had donated 100 million won ($72,713 USD) to support children and teenagers preparing to move out of child welfare facilities and achieve independence. Doyoung first donated to help children in need for his birthday this year, and has now made his second significant contribution.
During his recent comeback with the album 'Soar,' Doyoung made a promise to fans that if he won first place on a music show, he would make another donation. Ultimately, Doyoung won first place three times, and has now upheld his promise of donating.
Doyoung stated, "Thanks to the love of Czennies, I received the precious gift of winning first place and was able to fulfill my meaningful promise of donating. I hope that my donation will be helpful to children, teenagers, and young adults preparing for a new beginning, and I hope that they will find their own 'strength to dream' to their hearts' content, just like the message of this album."
With Doyoung's donation, the Direct Donation Center will deliver supplies to children and youth in child welfare facilities and young adults preparing for independence. Necessities such as food, nutritional supplements, and meal kits will be provided to children and youth living in child welfare centers, group homes, and youth who have recently left these facilities and are working towards independence.
Manager Koh Ha-eun of the Direct Donation Center said, “We will utilize Doyoung’s generous, heartfelt support to help youth preparing for independence and children in need of aid.”
