'For Eagle Brothers' is making waves and has broken the 20% viewer rating mark.
KBS 2TV’s weekend drama 'For Eagle Brothers' recorded a 20.5% viewership rating for its 46th episode, according to Nielsen Korea, securing the No. 1 spot in its time slot. Its popularity is evident, soaring to the top ranks of real-time search keyword charts on major portals right after the broadcast.
In Episode 46, Park Jung Soo is seen opening her heart to Ma Gwang Sook (played by Uhm Ji Won).
Ma Gwang Sook, who had reconnected with Park Jung Soo amid signs of dementia, set out to visit her in person. Park Jung Soo expressed discomfort due to disagreements with Han Dong Seok and said she’d rather stay at a hotel. Ma Gwang Sook, however, brought her to her own home, feeling uneasy about leaving her alone.
Ma Gwang Sook explained she wasn’t feeling right about letting Park Jung Soo stay at the hotel alone and offered to take care of her personally, saying Jung Soo had seemed unwell that day. She added that Jung Soo had shown signs of memory loss at the café and that she had already informed the chairman. In the end, Park Jung Soo spent the night at Ma Gwang Sook’s house.
Outside the house, Ma Gwang Sook ran into Han Dong Seok. Although she initially planned to keep it a secret, she decided it was better to tell the family and opened up about Park Jung Soo’s condition—early-stage dementia, and that she was taking medication to slow its progression. While not a medical professional, she emphasized the seriousness of the situation.
The next day, Han Dong Seok waited for Park Jung Soo outside Ma Gwang Sook’s home. Jung Soo came out with Gwang Sook, saying the house was comfortable and the air helped her sleep well. Han Dong Seok suggested they take a scenic outing since the weather was nice.
Park Jung Soo liked the idea and invited Ma Gwang Sook to join them. Gwang Sook smiled and asked if she could come along too.
Later, Park Jung Soo shared her thoughts about Ma Gwang Sook with Han Dong Seok, saying she seemed like a much better person than she initially thought. Seeing how well she got along with her brothers-in-law, she complimented her as someone with a big heart.
Han Dong Seok also expressed his gratitude during a one-on-one conversation with Ma Gwang Sook. He thanked her, saying that if it weren’t for her, he might have left for the U.S. without knowing about his mother-in-law’s condition. Gwang Sook replied that it was thanks to the medicine container and that she felt it gave Gyeol the chance to get closer to the elder.
