HYBE has officially announced its first integrated global audition, aiming to discover the next generation of K-pop superstars.
On July 4, HYBE Labels Audition's official social media channels revealed the launch of the 'HYBE MUSIC GROUP AUDITION,' accompanied by a striking poster featuring a golden ring. The caption read, "A new stage begins. One application, a chance to be evaluated by eight labels."
This marks the entertainment giant’s first attempt at a consolidated audition process across its eight affiliated labels, offering applicants the unique opportunity to be considered by all under a single submission.
Participating labels include BigHit Music, BELIFT LAB, Source Music, PLEDIS Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, ADOR, YG PLUS’s YX Labels, and more — all subsidiaries under the HYBE umbrella.
Adding star power to the project, Ryan Tedder, the Grammy-winning producer known for collaborations with global artists, will also take part. Tedder has already partnered with HYBE and is involved in a new boy group project.
The audition is open to all nationalities and genders, targeting those born in or after 2007. Applicants can showcase their talents in singing, dancing, or any specialty skill that highlights their potential as an artist. Online submissions will be accepted from July 14 to September 7.
In anticipation of the global auditions, HYBE will host a pop-up event in Japan. The event will take place at Mill Gallery & Mill 2ND in Shibuya, Tokyo, from August 27 to 30. With this large-scale audition, HYBE reaffirms its commitment to discovering and cultivating the next wave of global talent to follow in the footsteps of K-pop icons like BTS and Seventeen.
