'Culinary Class Wars' contestant Yu Bibim announced his return after taking a hiatus, following his confession of running his restaurant illegally.
On July 16, Yoo Bibim shared a handwritten letter on his personal social media account, revealing his comeback. In the letter, he wrote, “Over the past 10 months, I’ve taken time to reflect on my life and 20 years of living as ‘Bibim.’ I sincerely apologize to those who were hurt by my shortcomings.”
He went on to express gratitude, stating, “Many people from across the country visited Bibim Sound in Hanok Village, offering words of encouragement and support. I especially want to thank my fans abroad, the ‘Bibim Special Forces,’ for their love and support.”

Yoo Bibim also announced the publication of his book. “Thanks to the support of my guests, I published 'Bibim Characters Book' on June 25,” he wrote. “One day of bibimbap, 100 years of Yoo Bibim, 1,000 years of bibim books. In this 21st-century era of bibim culture, I will continue to stir innovation and build a world of coexistence, harmony, and unity through bibim characters.”
He concluded with, “I will return with global bibim content to meet you again.”
Yu Bibim gained public attention after appearing on the Netflix show 'Culinary Class War' last year. However, following the broadcast, controversy arose when it was revealed that he had been operating a restaurant without a permit and had continued to run the business under his wife's name, actions that brought past legal issues to light and stirred public debate.
